Principal's Message *

Dear Berylwood Families, 

 

We are looking forward to meeting our new families and renewing acquaintances.  Our teachers are energized and are excitedly preparing their classrooms and lessons.  The staff is setting up programs and plans for the new school year we hope you will enjoy.  To provide a quality education for our students, it takes teamwork and you are part of our team!  Come join in the fun of making a difference at our school for our students.  We need you!  Our children reap the benefits of our team approach and this approach contributes to their academic success.

 

Positive, daily attendance is essential for student learning and correlates with student success even at the end of the school year. Missing school equates to missed learning opportunities. “The old saying is true: a big part of success is showing up. To learn in school, children need to be in school and to stay in school,” “Poor attendance leads to poor work, poor grades-and eventually poor career prospects. Regular attendance is essential for success in school and in life.”

Campus supervision for students begins at 7:30 A.M.  For safety reasons, students should not be on campus before 7:30 A.M.  Breakfast is served in the east cafeteria from 7:30-7:55 A.M.  Students need to arrive before 7:55 to receive breakfast.  Breakfast and lunch are free for all of our students.  School supervision is NOT provided after school.  Please make arrangements for your child(ren) to be picked up on time daily.  Our school office hours are 7:30 A.M.-4:00 P.M.

 

To assist with your planning for the opening of school, here are some dates and events to add to your calendar: 

 

Thursday, August 15th- First day of school- School starts at 8:00 A.M.

Thursday, August 29th- Back to School Night 6-7 PM- 6:00-6:30 P.M.- Spanish Session, 6:30-7:00 P.M.- English Session

Friday, August 30th- Early Dismissal at 12:55 P.M.

Monday, September 2nd- No School

Tuesday, September 10th- Berylwood Toppers Pizza Night- 3:30-9:00 P.M.

Regular Schedule Minimum Schedule Early Release Day 

TK-5th grades- 8:00-2:09 TK-5th grades- 8:00-12:55 TK-5th grades- 8:00-12:00
